Your First Race Day

Get to the track early—before 10:00—and go straight to the registration table.
First, you need to become a member of the NBL. Becoming a member is easy—you can sign up on your first day of racing—you just need a copy of your birth certificate or an ID. One of our volunteers will provide you with a membership form. If you are under 18 you will need a parent or guardian signature. Once you are signed up, you will get an NBL number and a temporary number plate. The fee for a 30 day trial NBL membership is $25. Learn more about NBL membership options and pricing.

Check your moto and lane assignments on the moto board.
When the motos are posted, head to the motoboard. Find the sheet with your age class and proficiency (you will most likely be a rookie). You will see your moto number at the top of the sheet and next to your name will be your lane assignments for each of the three races. It’s a good idea to write these down on a piece of paper or even on your arm so you don’t forget.

When the motos are announced head to the start gate.
When the starter calls your moto to the gate, get in your lane and you're ready to go.

Good luck and have fun!
Remember, everyone at the track is happy to assist you if you need any help.
